The Environment Technology Council presents this information to better inform you on the laws, regulations and technology used to protect our land, groundwater and air from environmental harm.

EPA Rollback of Hazardous Waste Law

On October 28, 2003, the Environmental Protection Agency issued a new proposed rule that would de-regulate 3 billion pounds of hazardous waste. EPA’s proposal is based on redefining what is a waste under the law. This proposed rule is available at the EPA Web Site at http://www.epa.gov/epaoswer/hazwaste/dsw/abr-rule/abr-rule.pdf.
